Bearcats destroy Pacific, Union
The Hermann Bearcats varsity boys basketball squad fielded a very good week with two important wins over perennial foes.
On Saturday, the Bearcats ran circles around Pacific in a home game, taking the victory 53-51.
Reese Rehmert showed everyone how to shoot, blasting the nets for 20 points. He shot for six-for-nine from the field, including four three-pointers out of seven attempts and a perfect four-for-four from the charity stripe. Parker Anderson and Holden Ash each poured in eight points, with Ash ringing up the register for two three-pointers. Seth Hackmann also had a three-pointer.
Austin Terry and Anderson each grabbed six rebounds, with each blocking a shot. Schuler Erickson also blocked a shot. Conner Coffey and Ash both had three steals. Terry also had a steal.
On Friday, Hermann took a major road win by bouncing Union 61-52.
Anderson had super karma working with 20 points, zinging eight shots from the field and hitting four free throws. Reese Rehmert and Ash both tossed in 11 points, with each knocking home three three-pointers. Terry had 10 points on five field goals.
Terry also leapt high for eight boards and blocked three shots, with Coffey grabbing seven rebounds. Anderson, Coffey, and Terry each had a steal.
