COVID-19 has changed our lives in many ways. What it has not changed is our care for you.
We are grateful for how our community has come together in these trying times. Your donations have helped not only us here at the hospital, but the patients that need medical aid as well.
To keep our staff and community safe, we have been following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)-recommended guidelines. What this means for you, is that our hospital is still open, and things just flow a little differently.
Our Clinics still see patients, but it is mostly through telehealth visits. It's the same quality care, just in a slightly changed format. If you need additional tests, such as labs or x-rays, the hospital will first be screening everyone at the door before they enter the building for those appointments and other arrangements.
If you need urgent medical care, our emergency room is open for you 24 hours a day.
Do you have a routine blood test, mammogram, rehabilitation therapy, colonoscopy and other screening exams that you have been putting off? Is it time for your yearly cancer detection screening? Please come to us here at Hermann Area District Hospital, we would love to care for you. We are taking every precaution to keep you safe when you come in the hospital.
To help keep to the six-foot rule, only the patient needing testing will be allowed into the hospital. Patients need to come in by themselves, except one parent or guardian with a child patient, again, with all precautions taken.
Our community has been gracious in making cloth masks for our patients. If you have one already, then please bring your own mask to save the mask supply for those without masks.
