Surprising Dustin at the event were his family, including his wife, Chelsie, parents Larry and Linda Kallmeyer, and children, Macie, Hallie, Jaxon and Maxwell.

Dustin Kallmeyer, president of the Community Foundation of the Hermann Area Inc., was honored with the Stanley Ball Leadership Award, presented by Central Trust Company and the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.

Kallmeyer was recognized for his dedication to many needs within his community and his willingness to listen, share his thoughts and opinions, and extend a helping hand by volunteering his efforts and time. In addition to serving as the COO and member of the Board of Directors of Kallmeyer Brothers Enterprises, a third-generation family trucking firm, he also serves on boards and civic organizations including Hermann Area Jaycees and Emmanuel Evangelical Church, and has previously served on the Gasconade Co. R-1 School Board.

The Stanley Ball Award was presented during the CFO’s annual Affiliate Appreciation Conference on Nov. 8 at Springfield’s Darr Agricultural Center. The award is presented to the president of one of the CFO’s 49 regional affiliate foundations. Ball, who died in 2015, was the founding president of the Nixa Community Foundation, the CFO’s first affiliate. He embodied the strengths of business, civic and philanthropic leadership working together to enhance our communities.

“Our success as a regional charitable foundation depends on young leaders like Dustin who believe in the mission and power of philanthropy to transform communities,” said CFO President Brian Fogle. “The CFO and the Hermann area are fortunate that he chooses to serve his community in so many different capacities.”
