Merel Schutt Celebrates 100 years

Lillian Merle Schutt, celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday, June 8, with friends and family.

Lifetime Hermann area resident, Merle Schutt, pictured here with her great-grandaughter and namesake, Lillian Merle, celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday, June 8, with friends and family. She joined in singing “Happy Birthday,” ending with singing "to me". Merle thoroughly enjoyed visiting with everyone, especially loving to watch the great grandchildren's antics.

Those in attendance at the party were her children, Hazel Struttmann & husband Benny, Joyce Schmidt and husband Bob, Jimmy Schutt and wife Nancy, and Ron Schutt; grandchildren Debbie Thomas and husband Rusty, Robyn Antonoccio and husband Jeff, Kirby Struttmann and wife Shauna, Angie Walter and husband Keith, Darren Schmidt and wife Terri, Jennifer Buesking and husband Frosty, Tim Schutt, Shalon Kegg & husband Chris, and Ronnie Schutt and wife Whitney.

Great grandchildren attending were Justin, Brett, and Drew Thomas, Joseph

Antonoccio, Cheyenne Struttmann and friend Brayden Smith, Brandi, Kyle, and

Kristen Buesking, Mali & Braden Schutt, Walter & Wesley Kegg, and Riley and

Lilly Schutt.

The following cousins also helped Merle celebrate: Mr. & Mrs. Patrick Henning, Donna Polston, Linda Stuart, Audrey Shock, Judy Atterberry, Jeanette Decker, Judie James, Danyele Gulledge and children, and Steve and Lorene Beckmann.

Long time Loutre Bend friend and neighbor Shirley Baker Meyer was a special guest.

A great afternoon was spent reminiscing and celebrating Merle's milestone birthday.
