Prayer gathering at park

A "Come Together, Grass-Roots Prayers for the City of Hermann" was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Hermann City Park. Prayers were offered for the community, city officials, city police, Gasconade R-1 Schools, St. George School, the hospital, doctors, residents of StoneBridge and Victorian Place, professional and private caregivers, day cares, churches, private tutors, and the nation. Rod Musgrave, retired pastor of the Friendly Assembly of God church in Gerald, blew a horn to announce the call to prayer. Pastor Dave Thomas, of the Hermann Community Christian Church, stands with Musgrave. A small group of residents participated in the prayer, remaining socially distanced in their vehicles.
