St. George 7th graders deliver toys for Community Christmas

Stacie Newbanks brought her St. George 7th grade home room students to the old Pamida building last Thursday to deliver toys for this year’s Community Christmas, the program that provides Christmas gifts for area families in need.

“We collected approximately 375 items between us and the Church of the Risen Savior,” she said.

Mrs. Newbanks said the toys, clothing and gift cards were purchased by church parishioners.

Community Christmas Co-Director Bartow Molloy says, “Parents are scheduled to come in about every 15 or 20 minutes and pick up their toys and then they shop for additional toys from these tables, or clothes that come from Hermann’s Ministerial Alliance.”

She added there are enough gift collections provided by the community for about 60 families that comprise around 250 kids.
