The late Doris Binkholder is honored

The late Doris Binkholder was honored with a Mayoral Proclamation at the last Board of Alderman meeting. Mrs. Binkholder was one for the record books in Hermann. She was the first woman to be both an alderman and Mayor of Hermann. In reading her proclamation, the Mayor mentioned she was instrumental in securing funding for the new Hermann “Christopher Kit Bond Bridge” and renovations for the Amtrak station. She also served on the Maifest Council and was the Park Board Secretary. The family of Doris Binkholder was present to honor her proclamation.
