Victim name in murder case
still not officially released
Law enforcement authorities have yet to approve the release of the victim's name in the mid-December first-degree murder case involving a Hermann woman.
Last week, other media reported a victim name in the case that alleges Christine E. Weber, 52, shot and killed a male -- identified thus far solely by the initials "A.F." -- on Dec. 15 in a residence at the intersection of Ninth and Goethe streets. But Gasconade County Prosecutor Mary Weston and Hermann Police Chief Marlon Walker have yet to authorize the formal public release of the victim's identity, as an investigation into the death proceeds.
Weber is due to return to court on Wednesday, Jan. 20, for the setting of a preliminary hearing. She had pleaded not guilty to the felony charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the case.
