Muskrat group

raises $2,000+

The Muskrat Society held a very successful first fundraiser breakfast Sunday, May 2, raising over $2,000 toward a goal of creating a museum of Missouri River life in the Hermann area in the early 19th century.
The society also added 10 new members while exhibiting the Keelboat Muskrat and tell the history behind her.
The Keelboat was the focal point of interest at the breakfast, along with Gary Leabman’s portrayal of Mike Fink and the historic artifact display put together by Paul Fennewald.
Hermann Lions Club members Mike Pratte, Ray Haeffner, Gerry Kolbe, Walter Els and Steve Mueller assisted the society with the event.
