Patricia Distasio passed away peacefully in her home on May 11th surrounded by her family and beloved dog Peanuts.
She leaves behind her husband Peter DiStasio, daughter Renae DiStasio and step daughter Paula Krull as well as nieces and nephew.
Pat was a dedicated daughter, wonderful sister, generous and loving wife, and the BEST mother any kid could have asked for.
As anyone who knew her would agree, she was easy to talk to and an extraordinary, empathetic listener. During her time working at Hermann Hospital , patients would be known to wait for her window to be available to speak with her.
She had a lifelong passion for gardening and crafting of all kinds, as her overflowing boxes, bins and baskets of supplies can attest to. She wanted to make the world a more beautiful place, and she did that just by being who she was.
Following her wishes there will be no services, but her family wants to extended their deep gratitude to all her caretakers at Hermann Hospital and Gentiva Hospice and in lieu of cards or flowers, encourages donations to the Hermann Crusade Against Cancer.
“I can see clearly now the rain is gone..It’s gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day”
