6.16.2019-6.30.2019

On 6/18/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop in the area of Highway F and Krull Road.  Subsequently, Matthew C. Chalmer, age 18 of Hermann was cited for Possession of Less than 10 grams of Marijuana and failure to maintain/provide proof of insurance.  He was released on a summons.  

 

On 6/18/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 100 Block of High Street in Bland for a reported peace disturbance.  It was determined that this incident was a verbal dispute between a male and female.  Both parties were advised of the laws surrounding the Missouri Adult Abuse Act and no further action was taken.  

 

On 6/18/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officearrested Amanda Huse, age 30 of Jefferson City on Gasconade County warrants charging her with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Stealing 4th Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Trespass 1st Degree.  She was transported to the Crawford County Jail and incarcerated in lieu of a $10,000 bond.  

 

On 6/18/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeinitiated a traffic stop of a 2003 Chevrolet S-10 pickup near the intersection of Highway 19 and Rothmeyer Road.  Subsequently, the Deputy located a syringe containing what is believed to Methamphetamine.  Abernathy was released pending review by the Gasconade County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.  

 

On 6/18/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeinitiated a traffic stop on a 1998 Ford driven by Jeremiah Mitchell, age 19 of Chamois.  Subsequently, Mitchell was cited for Driving Without a Valid License and released on a summons.  

 

On 6/18/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeresponded to a residence in the 1900 Block of Buel Store Road to assist the Missouri Division of Family Services after it was reported that a juvenile had been left home alone.  The situation was handled by the Division of Family Services and no action was required from the Sheriff’s Office.  

 

On 6/19/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeresponded to the 1000 Block of Highway E for a reported motor vehicle accident.  The investigation revealed that a 2007 Jeep, driven by Emil Kahle swerved to avoid an oncoming car, lost control, and struck a pole.  No injuries were reported and the vehicle sustained moderate damage.  

 

On 6/19/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 400 Block of E. Highway 28 for reported property damage.  The reporting party advised a window had been broken.  The investigation continues.  

 

On 6/19/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeresponded to the 1800 Block of Blankenship Court for a reported domestic assault.  Subsequently, Brandon Lestarge, age 28 of Owensville was arrested on a Gasconade County warrant.  Lestarge was transported to the Crawford County Jail and incarcerated in lieu of a $1500 bond.  

 

 

On 6/20/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeresponded to the 3900 Block of Cleavesville Road for a reported violation of an Ex-Parte Order of Protection.  The individual who allegedly committed the violation had left the scene just prior to the Deputies arrival.  The investigation continues.  

 

On 6/20/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeresponded to Danz Road for a reported suicidal subject.  The situation was resolved peacefully after a male subject agreed to be evaluated at a hospital in Jefferson City.  

 

On 6/21/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Office were able to identify some stolen property originally recovered in Cuba, MO on 5/31/19.  The property in question, a shotgun, compound bow, and a crossbow belonged to property owners on Lahmeyer Road and was stolen during a burglary in the 3400 Block of Lahmeyer Road.  The property will be returned to its rightful owners.  

 

On 6/20/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeresponded to the 1200 Block of Comanche for a reported burglary in progress.  The investigation revealed that no burglary had occurred but Deputies arrested John Bruyere, age 27 of Rosebud on a  Franklin County warrant charging him with Dangerous Drugs.  Bruyere was later turned over to Franklin County authorities.

 

On 6/21/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officestopped a 2017 Ford near the intersection of Highway 19 and Schaefferkoetter Road after receiving information that the driver was operating the vehicle in a careless manner.  The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Lawrence Frichtel, age 38 of Hermann initially failed to stop for the Deputy.  Once he did stop, Frichtel put his vehicle in reverse, backing towards the Deputy in a threatening manner.  Frichtel eventually complied with the Deputies verbal commands.  As Deputies were attempting to arrest Frichtel, he resisted arrest and was eventually taken into custody.  Frichtel was arrested on charges of Resisting/Interfering with an Arrest/Detention/Stop, Careless and Imprudent Driving, Failure to Drive on the Right Half of the Roadway, and Failure to Wear a Seat Belt.  The Gasconade County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Owensville Police Department.  

 

On 6/21/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officestopped the driver of a 1984 Chevrolet pickup near the intersection of Valentine Ford and Highway A for careless and imprudent driving.  Jonathan Fife, age 27 of Owensville was cited for failing to secure his child in an approved child restraint system.  He was released on a summons.  

 

On 6/22/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeresponded to the 1000 Block of Highway C near Bland for reported stealing.  The victim reported three batteries had been stolen from a boat.  No further information could be obtainedand the investigation continues.  

 

On 6/22/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeresponded to 200 Block E. Highway 28 for reported peace disturbance.  Two parties at the scene were contacted and advised of the laws surrounding the Missouri Adult Abuse Act and no further action was taken.  

 

On 6/22/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officearrested Floyd Kitchen, age 32 of Leasburg, MO on a Foristell, MO warrant charging him with speeding.  Kitchen was transported to the Crawford County Jail and incarcerated in lieu of bond.  

 

On 6/24/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeresponded to the 2300 Block of Bunkline Road for a reported domestic disturbance.  No violence had occurred and no action was taken.  

 

On 6/24/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeresponded to the 100 Block of Missouri Avenue in Bland for a reported dog bite.  The victim refused medical treatment and it was determined that the dog had up-to-date vaccinations.  

 

On 6/24/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeassisted members of the Osage County Sheriff’s Office at the scene of a domestic disturbance possibly involving weapons.  No action was taken by members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Office.  

 

On 6/24/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeresponded to the 2400 Block of Garner Road for a reported Identity Theft.  The victim reported that she was the victim of Identity Theft whereby person(s) unknown opened a Verizon Wireless account in her name without her knowledge or consent.  The matter is being handled by the Verizon Wireless Fraud Department.  

 

On 6/25/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Gasconade City Marshall arrested James M. Barnard, age 36 of Gasconade on a Franklin County warrant charging him with Possession of a Controlled Substance.  He was later turned over to Franklin County authorities and incarcerated in lieu of a $10,000 bond.  

 

On 6/26/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeresponded to the 3600 Block of S. Fourth Street near Owensville for a reported death.  The investigation revealed that 26-year-old Ashley Eilers was found deceased by her boyfriend.  While no foul play is suspected at this time, an autopsy will be performed.  No further information is available for release currently.  

 

On 6/26/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officearrested Stanley E. Bressman, age 46 of Bland on a Belle warrant charging him with Forgery.  He was later released after posting a $200 bond.  

 

On 6/26/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeresponded to the 1900 Block of Strassner Road for a reported Trespassing and Peace Disturbance.  The investigation continues.  

 

 

On 6/27/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officestopped the driver of a 2001 Buick near the intersection of Highways 50 & 19.  Micah Cannon, age 22 of Gerald was cited for Careless and Imprudent Driving.   He was released on a summons.  

 

On 6/27/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeresponded to the 1300 Block of Dittman Road for a reported burglary/theft.  The investigation revealed that sometime between 2:00 pm on 6/26/19 and 8:00 am on 6/27/19, person(s) unknown forcibly entered a building on the property and removed two Stihl chainsaws, and a 2010 Honda Rancher 420 ATV.  The total loss is estimated at $8200.  The investigation continues.  

 

On 6/27/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officestopped the driver of a 1998 Chevrolet due to the fact that the driver was acting suspiciously.  As the Deputy was talking with the driver of the car, the driver dropped his wallet.  As the Deputy reached down to pick up the wallet, the Deputy located a capsule believed to contain narcotics.  A short time later, the 23-year-old driver began displaying signs of a possible overdose.  EMS was immediately called and the male subject was treated by EMS.  Once laboratory results are obtained for the contents of the capsule, a decision will then be made as to whether or notthe case will be forwarded to the Gasconade County Prosecuting Attorney.  

 

On 6/27/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeresponded to Brown Shanty Road for a report of shots fired.  Deputies made contact with Travis Brinkholder, age 36 of Sullivan.  A routine inquiry revealed that Brinkholder had an active warrant from Crawford County charging him with Failure to Appear in court on a traffic violation.  He was turned over to Crawford County authorities and later posted a $150 bond.  

 

On 6/29/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeresponded to the 600 Block of Highway 28 near Bland for a reported assault.  A male, age 60 reported that he was ass

aulted by a known subject.  The investigation continues.  

 

On 6/30/19, members of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Officeresponded to the 300 Block of W. Kansas City in Bland for a reported violation of an Ex-Parte Order of Protection.  A report was taken and the investigation continues.
