The Bearcats started slow last Friday night in a showdown with the Chamois Pirates, trailing 12-13 at the end of the first period. By halftime, they advanced their lead 38-23, 51-44 at the end of period three and took it home 70-54 to seize the win.

It was an entertaining game Monday night in the Hermann High School gymnasium, but the Lady Bearcat basketball team came up short 53-65 against a tough Southern Boone County squad. The game was fast-paced and there were lots of steals from both teams up and down the court.

Hermann basketball Head Coach Josh Vinyard was elated last Friday morning. Not only is his defense coming together, the team’s shooting was hot as they beat the South Callaway Bulldogs 87-46, last Thursday in Mokane. 

Hermann High School Activities Director and Asst. Principal Todd Anderson has rescheduled dates for the basketball games that were postponed last Monday and Tuesday due to inclement weather.
