The Hermann Ladycats varsity volleyball team remains strong this season, posting recent wins over New Haven and Helias while losing out in a tough contest to St. Clair.

 

On Oct. 15, St. Clair defeated Hermann by a margin of three sets to two in an away match. The sets were 25-19, 20-25, 20-25, 25-21, and 15-12. Hannah Grosse had 13 points and Holly Heldt had 10. Gracie Winkelmann recorded 31 kills and nine points. The junior varsity lost to St. Clair 16-25; 17-25 and the freshmen won over St. Clair 25-11; 25-19.

 

On Oct. 13, the varsity defeated New Haven three sets to zero (25-14; 25-16; 25-14). Heldt had 21 points, while Winkelmann had 19 kills. Malerie Schutt had 12 kills. The junior varsity won over New Haven, 25-18; 25-14. The freshmen won 25-11; 25-17.

On Oct. 12, the varsity Ladycats defeated Helias (Jefferson City), three sets to one (29-31; 25-10; 25-18; 25-18). Heldt had 10 points and 14 kills, while Winkelmann had 30 kills. Schutt had 10 kills. The junior varsity lost to Helias, 11-25; 28-30. The freshmen won 24-26; 25-14; 25-15.
