John Glen Pilger


John Glen Pilger, 61, of Hermann, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Mercy Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
  John was born in Washington, Missouri on July 10, 1963, the son of Buel Pilger and Wilma (Busse) Ellis.
  He was the husband of Judy (Copeland) Pilger.  They were united in marriage on August 3, 1984, in Union, Missouri.
  John worked at Langenberg Hat Factory in New Haven for several years.  He also worked for Pretium Packaging in Hermann for over 23 years, mostly as a maintenance man.  In his free time John enjoyed collecting and painting Warhammer 40K Minatures, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, fishing and watching westerns.
  John is survived by his father, Buel Pilger & wife Arline, of Dixon, Missouri; his wife Judy Pilger, of Hermann, Missouri; a son, Daniel Glen Pilger, of Jefferson City, Missouri; a daughter, Jessica Moellinger & husband Jason, of Hermann, Missouri; a son, David Pilger & fiance Destiny Warner, of Williamsburg, Missouri; three sisters, Lisa Patton, of Painsville, Ohio; Susan Budnik & husband Mark, of Belton, Missouri; and Ashden Kennedy & husband Chris, of Hermann, Missouri; two brothers, Jesse Pilger & wife Shirah, of Auxvasse, Missouri; and Curtis Pilger & wife Cassie, of Gasconade, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Serenity, Kahrston, Vincent, Jasmine, Nikolai, Xena, Ronin, Pandora and Oliver. 
  He is preceded in death by his mother Wilma Ellis step-father Ronald Ellis and a sister Veronica Pilger.
  Visitation will be held Monday, March 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m., with Rev. Andy Wilson officiating.
Memorials may be given to the family to help with expenses.
