Hallie Marie Erny

Hallie Marie Erny (nee Nance), 90, of Hermann, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Hermann Area District Hospital, Hermann, Missouri.
Hallie was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 20, 1934, the daughter of the late Edna Estelle Nance (nee Paschall) and Charles “Charlie” Lee Nance. She was married to Robert George Kloessner in June of 1954, and later remarried John Joseph Erny in 1976. John preceded her in death in 2003.
Prior to her retirement and move to Hermann, Hallie was a highly successful real estate broker, owner of two preschools in North St. Louis County, and co-founder of Commercial Van Interiors. She moved to Hermann in 2005, and immediately fell in love with the town and its people – and the town seemed to fall in love with her.
Hallie is survived by two sons, Robert George Kloessner Jr. & wife Linda, of Grass Valley, California; and Steven Allen Kloessner & wife Lisa, of Hermann, Missouri; a stepson, Paul Erny & wife Terese, of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin; a grandson, Robert Kloessner III & wife Maria, of Hermann, Missouri; two granddaughters, Angie Hagee & husband Dave, of St. Louis, Missouri; and Andrea Mirth & husband Erik, of Wentzville, Missouri, six great-grandchildren, Amelia, Sam, Grace, Faith, Connor & Leo and nieces & nephews. She will always be an inspiration and role model to her entire family and all of the people she became friends with.
She is preceded in death by her parents Estelle and Charlie Nance, her husband John Erny, and her beloved brother, Ed Nance.
A celebration of life service will be held at a future date. Arrangements are under the direction of Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann. If desired, donations can be made in memory of Hallie to Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer and/or Ferils in Peril Hermann.
