Diane Marie Poor

Diane Marie (Delude) Poor, 53, passed away July 7, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
Diane was born in Salem, Massachusetts, on January 16, 1972, the youngest daughter of the late Phil and Marilyn (Brown) Delude. Diane lived with her partner, Pamela Winkelmann, at their home in Hermann, Missouri, for the last 25 years.
Diane worked at several places, including Hermann Hospital, Companion Animal Hospital, Victorian Place, and Hermann Pharmacy. She had her own business, Hermann Housekeeping. She took great pride in her ability to clean her clients’ houses, but had to stop cleaning because of her health.
Her second business and the one she enjoyed most was Pawsitively Great Pet Sitting. Through her businesses, she met many friends, both human and animal.
Diane was greatly admired for doing Tarot Card readings. She amazed everyone, even herself, at how she could lay the cards out and tell exactly what was going on or was going to happen in their lives. She loved dressing the part of a tarot card reader. Diane had friends all over the world from doing Postcrossing, and also online and local friends that she helped get through their difficult times. Anyone who met Diane became her friend.
Diane loved driving while listening to her favorite music, which could be anything from jazz to hard rock.
Diane’s favorite holiday was Halloween. She would spend months planning what costume and makeup she was going to wear that would scare the kids the most. Diane got this from the many Halloweens that her family celebrated in Salem, Massachusetts. She always said that if she scared one kid, she made her dad proud of her. Diane considered herself a kitchen witch. Her favorite saying was, “Not all witches live in Salem”. She helped many, many people with spells to scare away unwanted guests and to make their houses safe.
Diane is survived by her partner, Pamela Winkelmann, two wonderful dogs, Beatrice and TJ, of Hermann, Missouri, two sisters, Lynn Porter of Riverview, Florida, and Kim Delude of Ruskin, Florida. She is also survived by nephews, Jason, Kevin, Scott, Michael, a niece, Kristina, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Diane will be laid to rest with her mom and dad in Florida at the request of her sisters.
Diane will be missed by her family, friends, her pups, and all the animals she had the pleasure of taking care of. Diane would appreciate any donations being made to any no-kill animal rescue sanctuary.
Diane’s final request would be to treat each other with kindness and do whatever you can to make the world a better place for humans and animals both.
