Darleen Martha Broeker

Darleen Martha Broeker, 88, of Pershing, MO, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024 at her home.

Darleen was born in Pershing, Missouri on February 29, 1936, the daughter of the late Benjamin G. & Anna M. (Koelling) Deppe.

She was the widow of Richard August Broeker. They were united in marriage on October 23, 1954, at Zion-St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Pershing, MO. Together they shared over 60 years of marriage. Richard preceded her in death on February 2, 2015.

Darleen was a member of Zion-St. Peter United Church of Christ, Pershing. She was very involved in the church having been the Vice President and President of the Zion St Peters Women’s Fellowship as well as being Treasurer of the Pershing Cemetery Association for 25 years. Darleen worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Gasconade County Health Department for 43 years. She enjoyed music, gardening, canning, quilting, traveling and especially spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Darleen is survived by a daughter, Diane Martellaro (Jack) of Chamois, Missouri; three sons, Duane Broeker (Karie) of Hartsburg, Missouri; Darren Broeker, of Morrison, Missouri; and David Broeker (Karin) of Morrison, Missouri; 12 grandchildren, John Martellaro (Katie); Shaun Broeker (Miriah); Ben Broeker; Kayla Weatherby (Reece); Johnathan Broeker; Chase Broeker; Deziree Broeker; Carileen Woodbury (Jacob); Joe Broeker; Grant Broeker (Makayla); Ella Broeker; Sentha Broeker; 8 great-grandchildren; and by a sister-in-law, Delores Deppe, of Morrison, Missouri.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Oliver Deppe and brother-in-law, Calvin Broeker & wife Eleanor.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 20th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Pershing Community Center, Pershing, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Zion-St. Peter United Church of Christ, Pershing, with Rev. Dean Klossner officiating.

Burial will be at Pershing Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Pershing Cemetery.
