Mayor Fed Up with Board Disunity; Calls out Alderman Grannemann

Mayor Bruce Cox did something unusual at the City of Hermann’s Board of Aldermen (BOA) meeting on Monday, June 23, 2025. Normally a man of few words, Mayor Cox used several minutes of his report time to respond to a statement made in a May, 2025 BOA meeting by Ward 1 Alderman Delores Grannemann, in which she accused the city of gross mismanagement of the town’s electrical system and recommended that it be sold.

Teamwork and Timeliness Propel Hermann Hospital to Audit Success

  The Hermann Area District Hospital (HADH) received very positive results from its new auditing partners at the monthly Board meeting on Monday, June 23, 2025. The audit team from Forvis Mazars, Kansas City, MO, made only three adjustments to the 2024 Medicare Cost Report that is submitted annually to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Hermann in Hues: Artists Paint the Town for Annual Festival

If you were driving into Hermann this week, you might have found there to be lots of artists with their easels set up and painting all manner of subjects in town. Upon driving toward Hermann, two plein air painters were parked on a gravel drive and working out of the back of their SUVs, painting a corn field with green rows creating a linear pattern in the field.
